Responsible for the scheduling of all contract employees within the CSSD Department.
Responsible for the facilitation and scheduling of ongoing educational learnings and documentation.
Maintains appropriate levels of surgical and floor tray instruments providing the management of the inventory.
This position works closely with the Manager, Supervisors.
Responsibilities/Job Description Job Expectations: Responsible for scheduling and staffing all CSSD Aides, CSSD Instrument TechniciansDevelops a schedule for all assigned personnel which are in accordance with the employee's authorized hours, applicable contracts and human resources policies each pay period.
Identifies unit-staffing needs each pay period and lists open and available shifts accordinglyDistributes employee schedules and open and available shift list to units according to CSSD policies and contracts.
Prioritizes and problem solves scheduling and daily staffing for each unit to provide adequate staffing coverage based on staffing guidelines.
Proactively adjusts and documents daily staffing by calling in, canceling or based on volume by covering for vacations, illnesses and open positions as needed each shift.
Accurately maintains an attendance record of all staff, students and volunteers.
Ensures that necessary information regarding staffing issues is relayed appropriately to System CSSD Supervisors and Manager, Prepares staffing reports to assist in the ongoing analysis of department staffing needs.
Respects the confidentiality of all information by sharing information only with those who need to know.
Works with our contracted transportation vendor.
Knowledge of union contracts.
TrainingAssist in facilitating educational scheduling for the team.
Organize and maintain employee training records according to Joint Commission policies and regulationsFacilitate ordering proper instrumentation that is needed to fill instrument setsCollaborate with leadership the exact needs and pricing of instrumentation before replenishment.
Work closely with Supply Chain personnel on all CSSD instrument and supply needs when placing orders.
Participates in department quality improvement projects as assignedPartners with workgroups for set/instrument optimization for floor and surgical grade instrumentation.
Ability to work independently and to provide excellent customer service to all levels of hospital staff, outside agencies and contracts Demonstrates respect for others and conducts self in calm, purposeful and professional manner.

Qualifications Required Education High School Diploma/G.E.D Experience Knowledge of PC/laptop, word documents, excel spreadsheets, network applications and staffing software.
Ability to organize details and maintains accurate records.
Complies with all MHealth Fairview and departmental policies and procedures.
Demonstrates and has knowledge of principles of growth and development skills necessary to successfully accomplish job requirements, including age specific competencies where appropriate.
